In this work, in order to measure simultaneously temperature and deformation remotely in two points, we explore the ease of multiplexing of the optical fiber sensors based on long-period gratings. Optical fiber sensors is a new trend sensing technology due their advantages in harsh environments like high electromagnetic interference and difficult access areas been applied in physical, chemical and biological sensors measurements. Thus, we proposed and investigated the association of two long-period grating sensors, and through simulations, it is possible to define the most suitable long-period grating parameters for simultaneous measurements of temperature and deformation. Finally, we have achieved temperature sensitivities of 0.4015 nm/°C and 0.4143 nm/°C, and deformation sensitivities of -5.6065 pm/μϵ and -5.4914 pm/μϵ, in each long-period grating respectively.
